Glen Urquhart Upper School

Classes begin Wednesday, January 9th.

Martha Cox-Stavros employs a multisensory approach of games and songs to aid in Spanish language acquisition. She uses theme-based music and age-appropriate props to isolate vocabulary, harness repetition with movement, and engage children in play. Martha follows an established routine that allows children to build basic skills in greetings and common courtesies. Classes are filled with fun stories, games, and songs.
Martha Cox-Stavros has an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has extensive experience living, traveling, and working in Spain and Latin America. After founding the only Spanish immersion cooperative for young children on the South Shore, Martha is now in her third year on the North Shore teaching young children. It is fun from the first lesson!
