Afternoon Activities for ages 4-8

Option 1: “Beachniks”

For campers who love the beach!  At 12:00 we eat lunches brought from home at our picnic area and then get ready for afternoon activities. Monday through Thursday, at 1:00, we head via bus to West Beach, accompanied by our lifeguard, nurse, and counselors. We swim and play in the water, build forts and canals in the sand, play ball games, and relax in the sun or under beach umbrellas. At 3:15 the bus returns to take us back to campus. On Fridays we stay on campus for “Freaky Friday” (read on!).

New! Option 2: “Campus Kids”

New this year, an option for campers who want to stay on campus for the afternoon. At 12:00 we eat lunches brought from home at our picnic area and then get ready for afternoon activities. Monday through Thursday, counselors supervise special arts and crafts projects and group activities based on campers’ interests and abilities. We use the gym, our playground, and outdoor ball courts and have fun playing board games and group games with our friends. The camp director is available to assist counselors. On Fridays we all get together for “Freaky Friday” (read on!).

Afternoon Adventurers for ages 9-12

12:00 pm–4:00 pm; $125 per week

Adventurers can choose from a variety of activities to plan their afternoons. We eat lunch together from 12:00 to 12:30; then, under the supervision of our very talented counselors, adventurers can elect to take a trip to the beach, play a volleyball game, go on a hike, or do a cool craft. On Fridays we join the rest of camp for “Freaky Friday” activities (read on!).

“Freaky Fridays” (included in all weekly afternoon programs)

Every Friday, afternoon campers gather on campus for special, theme-based activities. Each Freaky Friday is unique and packed with fun and excitement! Previous years’ Friday themes have included Pajama Party, Halloween in July, and Water Park. Freaky Fridays are included in Beachniks, Campus Kids, and Adventurers options. We eat lunches brought from home or pizza from 12:00 to 12:30, enjoy some playtime supervised by our counselors, and then get together as a group for theme-related fun!
