Ages 6-8: Voyagers Full Day Programs
Voyagers: Ages 6–8
Full-Day Camp
Hours: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
These full-day, two-week sessions provide families with an affordable, quality experience in all-day summer camp. Voyagers meet in the mornings for thematic activities led by an experienced teacher. They take scheduled breaks from planned activities to enjoy free time on the school’s playgrounds or just relax with their friends. At noon, Voyagers eat a lunch brought from home at our outdoor picnic area. After lunch we get ready for afternoon activities (see description in Extended Day Information).
Session 1, June 24–July 5 (Closed Thursday, July 4)
Tuition $517
From Farm to Table with Cheryl Arsenault
Learn how farms grow our food—from chickens and cows to wheat and corn! Some feathered visitors will show us what they like to eat and even let us collect their eggs to cook! We will explore different vegetables and how they grow, make salads, and perform taste tests to find out what we like and don’t like. We’ll visit the GUS greenhouse to see what The Food Project is growing, tend our campus gardens, try favorite farm recipes we can share with our families, and make fun farm crafts.
Session 2, July 8–19 FULL
Tuition: $575
Musical Theater for Ages 6–12 with Peter Stewart
Are you ready to act and sing on stage? Peter Stewart, local drama and music teacher, will teach eager young performers to tell the whole story using their voices, faces, and movement. The group will work together to prepare a performance for the last day of the workshop.
Session 3, July 22–August 2 ONE MORE SPOT LEFT!
Tuition: $575
Outdoor Adventures with Jessica Kagle
Explore all the productive habitats at GUS. Follow a stream through wetlands to the woods, discover underground tunnels, learn and practice the secrets of the animals. Make treasure maps and build woodland hideouts. Learn to stay comfortable in the wilds around a fire. Make your own explorer tools, such as a compass, field guide, and butterfly net. With all your senses working, you will experience nature this summer!
