Become a Sewing Steward! Learn cool ways to reduce your footprint and increase your creativity in our Upcycle Adventure class for beginner to intermediate sewists. More than 15 million tons of used textile waste is generated each year in the United States with 80% ending up in our land fills. We show you how to use the sewing machine to become a better steward of our planet one stitch at a time! Take creative risks with both form and function as you deconstruct garments for spare parts and sew them back together in a whole new way. Students build skills in all areas of sewn project construction while completing fun projects that emphasize proper use of tools and equipment, and develop fine motor skills. Great for beginner to intermediate stitchers.
