Reconnecting with nature through day trips, walks, and pauses, children will discover birds native to the North Shore and our surroundings. Students will synthesize their experience by creating expert information books that build on age-appropriate writing goals and create an artistic expression of their choice. A peer “celebration,” designed to highlight children’s individuality, inspiration, and perseverance will culminate the field experience, research, writing, and artistic creations.
