Glen Urquhart School in Beverly Farms will host their second annual, family-friendly North Shore Nature Fair on Sunday, November 4 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Hands-on activities and nature-based projects for kids in preschool through middle school and coordinated by GUS educators and partners from across the North Shore, will be situated across our 23-acre campus in Beverly Farms. The GUS campus features a nature trail, woodlands and marsh, an athletic field, and outdoor and greenhouse classrooms. Participating partners include Backyard Growers, Beyond Benign, Change is Simple, Cuvilly Arts and Earth Center, The Food Project, Kestrel Educational Adventures, Ipswich River Wildlife School, Mass Audubon & Joppa Flats, North Shore Nursery School, Mini Movers, Seaside Sustainability, and the Essex Shipbuilding Museum.

GUS embraces place-based education and child-led exploration in the classroom and across the natural environment of the North Shore. The Nature Fair will feature activities based on alternative energy, "land art" and mandalas made with natural materials, birding activities, ocean sustainability, composting, planting, erosion and more!

Admission is free and complimentary cider and seasonal snacks will be served. Please bring a canned or dry good to donate to our Beverly Bootstraps and Open Door Thanksgiving food drives.
