GAIN@GUS Celebrates 10 Years
GAIN@GUS celebrated its 10th summer last Friday during the annual closing ceremony. 33 students in grades 5-7, from 9 schools across Beverly, Lynn and Peabody, presented their learnings to friends, family and the GUS community. The annual five-week program consists of academic study in math and language arts. Students also enjoy a variety of recreational activities with our SUMMER@GUS camp, like archery, camp fires, drama, slackline, tie dying and swimming. This year also featured excursions to Endicott Park, Cape Ann Museum, Captain Dusty’s and Dix Park.
We welcomed three GUS alumni back to campus this summer as alumni counselors: Maeve Corbett who will be a sophomore at Santa Clara University, Carson Pottle, who will be a freshman at Bates College, and Gillian Garvey, who will be a freshman at Skidmore.
