Songs and Tales of The Sea
Each spring, the fourth grade class presents “Songs and Tales of The Sea,” a performance that showcases all they’ve learned throughout their year-long study of the sea. The program is full of history, from whaling to maritime traditions, and song, including sea shanties and ukulele performances, all in celebration of the rich maritime history of New England.
This year, grade four teachers Laura Doyle and Kelly Zaval, with the help of music teacher Patty Clark and special guest and shantyman David Coffin, were able to bring students together virtually to put together a Songs and Tales performance like no other!
