Frozen Jr., Presented by the Class of 2021

Let it go.

The final lyrics sung by the 8th graders in their performance of Frozen, Jr. are a fitting tribute to this year unlike any other. This amazing group of young people, led by Ms. Bailes, really came together to not only put on a great show, but to also raise us all up. Their performances filled us with pride, as they danced, acted, and sang, but also filled us with joy. Especially if you attended one of the daytime performances, watching the little ones truly captivated was a priceless moment that felt like that warm hug we have all needed after a long winter that was the pandemic.

The musical is one of the most special of the capstone experiences for our 8th graders. The teamwork it takes to bring together all that talent and put on such a memorable performance is a wonderful testament to the character of this class. Watching them sing and dance, bravely putting themselves out there, they are truly ready for anything.

As we watch our younger students coming together for so many things like Medieval Morning, Songs and Tales of the Sea, or Scenes and Songs, you can see them slowly working their way to their big musical moment in 8th grade. We are so proud of all of our students for sharing so much of themselves in so many different ways, not just at the end of the year, but the whole year through.

So as we round the bend and the finish line is within sight, we take comfort in the words of our 8th graders. We will head into these final celebrations by saying goodbye to fear and cold and instead, filling the world with light and love just as they have done these past few days. It’s going to be a great finish!

Congratulations to our 8th graders! We are so proud!
