New Water Bottle Filling Stations at GUS
This summer, thanks to the generosity of three GUS families, we installed three new water bottle filling stations to help reduce our use of single-use plastics.
Environmentally friendly, functional, and essential, our new water bottle filling stations have been put to immediate use! (they can be found in Braemar, Upper School, and Lower School). To date, the display on each station reports well over 1,000 plastic, disposable water bottles saved (a.k.a. unused), and we think that’s pretty great! These upgraded fountains of truth help remind and encourage students, faculty, and families alike how much a small community can impact positive change when working together.
GUS students and faculty were gifted brand new GUS water bottles, which they were able to decorate and individualize, thanks to the GUS Parents Association, at our back-to-school ice cream social!
A special HOORAY to our champions who helped us purchase and install these 3 new water filling stations, helping GUS to extend its commitment to being as environmentally active as we can!
