GUS Institute: Survival - Living in the Wild

  • Glen Urquhart School 74 Hart Street Beverly United States (map)

How do animals survive in the wild? What adaptations help animals find food, see in the dark, flee from dangerous prey and attract mates? Students will explore GUS's 23 acres to gather data on the wildlife that populate our campus. They will consider what traits contribute to their survival and contemplate how humans might be able to mimic these skills. Our explorers will collect and analyze data, share ideas through creative writing, document discovery with scientific journaling, and use their inventive imaginations to create an animal fit to survive in a specified ecosystem.

$520 for this two-week course.
