In this two week session, students will ponder "Why is the ocean important?” and “What is our role and responsibility in keeping the ocean healthy?” The GUS campus is less than one mile from the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Students will ponder and investigate how these two ecosystems interact and what role humans play in preserving and polluting this natural treasure. Participants will learn from experts at Salem Soundwatch how they can help our oceans. Using what they have learned, they will design and engineer a tool to help sustain the ocean's priceless ecosystem.
