GUS Band Director Ray Novack is in the Hall Of Fame

The Massachusetts Drum Corp and Music Educators has enshrined Glen Urquhart School Band Director Ray Novack into its Hall Of Fame. Ray Novack was a Beverly Public Schools music teacher from 1977-2012. He led the BHS Marching, Concert, and Jazz Bands for 26 years before retiring in 2012. The Massachusetts Drum Corp and Music Educator’s Hall of Fame states that it is devoted to honoring those who have made “outstanding contributions through inspiring achievement in both professional and amateur, while forever enriching the memories of fans.” Ray was inducted with 12 other honorees at a recent ceremony in Stoneham, MA. In addition to directing the GUS Band, Ray directs the Endicott College Jazz Band. He is also the longtime leader of the popular Boston-area function band, Horizon And The Horns.
