Many people dislike Valentine’s day. Oftentimes dismissed as a Hallmark holiday, I see value in taking a day to reflect on who and what you love. For me, Valentine’s Day was extra special this year. My day began at breakfast with former trustee members from as far back as the early 80’s. It was a wonderful testament to the power of the GUS experience and to the value of connection around shared experiences.

It is very exciting to share my first letter with you as interim head of school. It has been a busy few weeks since I took over in June, but what a thrill it was to play a role in graduation! As I have said often, no one does a graduation like GUS and to be able to speak about the graduates on behalf of the faculty was a great privilege.
