Join the Team: Spring Gala + Auction!
Dear GUS Parents and Guardians,
I’m Danielle, the new Director of Advancement at GUS. It’s my role to advance the school’s mission via fundraising and community building. At GUS fundraising is a team effort and I write today inviting you to join the team! In years past the Parents Association has graciously planned and executed multiple successful auctions. This year this event’s logistic planning (the not-so-fun-stuff of tickets, registrations, etc.) will shift to the advancement department. In lieu of an “all hands on deck” approach, we’re shifting to a model where select community members help ahead of the event, therefore attendees including committee members, can simply come and enjoy. After all, it’s a party!
Our goal is to raise $100k+ for this event and to do so we are enlisting community members to join two different committees. Committee work can all be done via email and will operate between February - April 2025.
Fundraising Committee: Sponsorships and auction items will be a critical tool in raising funds for GUS. A full fundraising toolkit (letters, sponsorship levels, links) will be provided, along with my support, to aid you in soliciting sponsorships and auction items. Sponsorship levels range from $1k-$25k and are aimed at local businesses and community connections. If the transaction itself is not comfortable for you but you are willing to make the connection, that is also welcome help! One virtual kick-off meeting will be held but otherwise there are no ongoing meeting commitments.
Host Committee: Parties need people! Will you help ensure we have our community well represented at this event? Current parents, alumni, former board members, neighbors, etc. We want every corner of GUS with us on that night. Host committee members will rally their respective communities and classes to ensure we have a full house. No meetings required!
