Annual Tuition Update
Dear GUS Families,
In keeping with Glen Urquhart School’s commitment to an open and honest partnership with home, GUS has been working toward offering greater transparency in our tuition pricing. Our efforts to reimagine the admission process at GUS to make it more equitable, transparent, and accessible began in 2022 with the launch of Family Individualized Tuition (FIT). We then introduced evergreen enrollment in 2023 and, just this fall, transitioned to rolling admission. We are excited to further this effort, in partnership with the board of trustees, by offering a new tuition model.
Typically, tuition across all grades increases slightly each year due to inflation and other factors, and due to programmatic costs, there have always been tuition increases in grades 4, 6, and 8. In our new tuition model, instead of programmatic-driven tuition increases at grades 4, 6, and 8, tuition across grades 4-8 will be the same. Our hope is that this new tuition model will allow for greater predictability and financial sustainability from year to year. Please note, tuition for grade 8 will remain as projected for school year 2025-2026, but will shift to this model beginning school year 2026-2027.
While this means some families will see a significant increase this year, it will all balance out over your time at GUS - reflecting a true investment in your child’s future. It is important to note that FIT numbers already shared in your three-year outlook will not change. If these new numbers present a burden on your family, please consider taking advantage of FIT. The deadline to apply for FIT is January 31, 2025.
Going forward, the board will continue to vote on standard increases as necessary. Please know we always do our best to control costs and keep any increases at a minimum. We hope this step will allow for increased predictability and greater transparency around tuition - and that it will help our families better plan for the future.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions,
Gretchen Forsyth

Annual Enrollment Reminders
At GUS, with continuous enrollment, there is no need to sign a contract each year. The initial 15% enrollment deposit for school year 2025-2026 is due on March 5, 2025. If your family is considering leaving GUS for any reason, please contact Emily Glore, director of admission, to request a withdrawal form. The deadline to submit a withdrawal form is March 3, 2025.
Please note that for school year 2025-2026, we are moving our tuition payment system to Rediker. This shift will give you access to your household information, enrollment agreement, tuition payments, reports, and more, all through GUS PlusPortals. Please stay tuned for more information on what you will need to do as part of this transition. Please reach out to Emily Ahearn with any questions about logging into GUS PlusPortals.
