Press Release: Announcing Glen Urquhart School’s New Head of School: Gretchen Forsyth

BEVERLY, MA - The Board of Trustees is excited to announce Gretchen Forsyth as Glen Urquhart School’s next Head of School. After an extensive national search process, Ms. Forsyth was chosen from an impressive pool of candidates.

With nearly 20 years of experience in education, including 10 years at Glen Urquhart School (GUS), an MSW from Boston College, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the Teachers College, Columbia University’s Klingenstein Private School Leadership program, Ms. Forsyth is well-positioned to lead the school. “Her passion for education, dedication to students, and commitment to supporting and developing faculty will ensure our program continues to flourish,” said George T Balich, president of the board of trustees. Already a passionate and dedicated member of our community and current GUS parent, the school is looking forward to a seamless and natural transition.

“I look forward to working with our tremendous faculty to continue to grow and evolve this school we all know and love in innovative and inspiring ways,” shared Forsyth. “I love this school, these people, and this work. Together, with the faculty and staff, with the students and alumni, with all GUS families past and present, we will accomplish great things. Most importantly, we will work to ensure the magic that is a GUS education endures long into the future.”
